Hearing of Duane's passing shortly after graduation was quite a jolt for us all. He was always such a jovial presence in our Advanced Biology class! He always had a joke or a personal story which was either very funny or interesting mostly because it was he who told it! He had a gift for humor and a keen eye for the girls.
