Paul A. Trautman, 61, of Laurium , formerly of Houghton and retired area businessman passed away Monday afternoon October 15, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family, following a two year battle with cancer.
He was born on May 16, 1951, in Benton Harbor, MI, a son of the late Frank and Betty (Stokoe) Trautman. Paul was a graduate of the Benton Harbor High School with the class of 1969. He then attended Michigan Technological University. Paul so loved the Copper Country that he decided to make it his home.
On August 28, 1971, he was united in marriage to the former Susan DeLisle. The couple had owned and operated Pilgrim Terrace in Houghton for 30 years. He had also worked with Experience Works to help seniors find employment in the Copper Country. He would always go the extra mile to help anyone.
Paul enjoyed spending time outdoors sailing, cross country skiing, photography and listening to music.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his father-in-law, Ray DeLisle.

Friends may call on Thursday October 18, 2012, from 6 to 8 pm at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock for a time to share stories and memories of Paul with one another. He will always be in our hearts.
